PMSG — Muse Gadget project

Control-C/PMSG

Seeed XIAOOther

Short answer

The PMSG Muse integration connects a smart-glasses arm to Muse, using a four-pixel light bar, vibration, a button, and light, UV, and movement sensors for device interaction. Its Muse documentation also describes a BLE privacy-preference broadcast.

What you need

The Muse guide specifies PMSG V4 or later with a XIAO ESP32C6, a USB-C data cable, the Muse app in Developer mode, a personal SDK token, and ESP-IDF 6.0.1 on macOS or Linux. Wiring uses 3.3 V. This firmware is not intended for the nRF52840 host.

How you build and install it

Use the Control-C/Pmsg-muse-gadget-sdk fork and copy the PMSG board configuration into its ESP32 device configurations. Select the esp32c6 target, enter the personal token through menuconfig, then build, flash, and monitor. Add the device in the Muse app and confirm with D9. The guide disables the home-network tunnel on the C6, which has no PSRAM.
